IFBSO recently held its final Executive Committee Meeting of the year during the hugely successful METSTRADE show in Amsterdam. ExCom members were nearly complete in attendance and addressed issues including the ICOMIA/IFBSO Congress in June 2023, the anticipated webinars for members, and a number of administrative issues.

IFBSO member METSTRADE is the world’s largest trade exhibition of marine equipment, materials and systems. Following the absence and reduced format of last year’s event due to Covid, it once again sprang to life with the welcome buzz of thousands of industry professionals gathering from across the globe for meetings, researching, networking and much-missed socialising. IFBSO also organised a cocktail reception, kindly hosted and sponsored by METSTRADE, to meet with existing and potentially new members and industry colleagues and was delighted to welcome a delegation from GMBA, Global Marine Business Advisors, a group of 19 marine industry senior experts, located on five continents and nineteen countries (GMBA - Global Marine Business Advisors).

Everyone was in agreement that nothing beats the personal, face-to-face, interaction and knowledge exchange with industry peers and friends. The next IFBSO Executive Committee meeting will take place during boot Düsseldorf in January 2023 - www.boot.com.
