IFBSO AGM: ExCom members to keep roles for another year

Following the cancellation of the 2020 ICOMIA/IFBSO annual Congress as a result of Covid-19, IFBSO held an online Annual General Meeting on Thursday, June 4.

Given the cancellation or postponement of many IFBSO member shows that were due to be held since February/March 2020, and the preoccupation of members with planning the format for future events, the IFBSO Executive Committee had proposed the postponement of this year’s AGM.

However, in line with the IFBSO constitution, the AGM has to be called so that members can agree to postpone it. Accordingly, there were only two agenda points: a motion to postpone the AGM until June 2021 and the continuation of service of all current IFBSO Executive Committee members for another year until the next meeting. Both motions were agreed unanimously.

The officers and members serving on the IFBSO Executive Committee for the period 2020-2021 remain as follows:

  • Jennifer Thompson (Miami Boat Show) – President
  • Goetz-Ulf Jungmichel – Past President
  • Hanse Thorslund (Stockholm International Boat Show) – Treasurer
  • Anne Dunbar (IBEX) – Member
  • Jerry Flaxman (Atlantic City In Water Power Boat Show) – Member
  • Domenic Genua (BIA – Sydney International Boat Show) – Member
  • Jurij Korenc (Internautica International Boat Show) – Member
  • Dirk Kreidenweiss (Interboot Friedrichshafen) – Member
  • Jacob Ryder (Gothenburg Boat Show) – Member

The next IFBSO AGM will take place during the 2021 ICOMIA/IFBSO Congress from May 30 to June 4 in Gothenburg, Sweden. To read the article in IBI, please click here.
